Maintenance Technician

Reports To: The Maintenance Assistant will report to the IT / Maintenance Manager.

Shift Time: Anytime

Job Overview:

Assists the IT/Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating the efforts of all maintenance activities within the plant to maximize efficient operation and protection of company assets.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • This position will assist in production and facility equipment to include installation, set up, preventative maintenance and adjustments required by technical service instructions.
  • Safely troubleshoots, repairs, and executes all preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform maintenance related activities, including, but not limited to the following:
  • Machine Maintenance
  • Communication with facility scheduling to determine timing for outsourced preventative maintenance, repairs and improvements. This communication may apply to both machines and tooling.
  • Spare parts inventory system based on historical data.
  • Order of replacement parts and spare parts.
  • Perform diversified duties to install and maintain building and plant facility's equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair and/or replace lighting, plumbing and building repair.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of building equipment during production as necessary and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during normal hours.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Use a variety of hand tools, electric meters and detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and spare tools are kept for facility.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.


  • High School Diploma or GED or combination of experience.
  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Some experience troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical and/or mechanical problems.
  • Knowledge of power tools, common hand tools and blue print reading required.
  • Ability to write and read routine reports or process orders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft software required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 /hour
